I thought something of the sort would exsist, I can't believe I am pulling my hair out looking for a plugin that functions like a regular newsletter.

PHPlist fits the bill niceley, however support for the PHPList integration into WordPress seems to have stop entirely. FunkyPenguin doesn't even have the links working on his site to the plug-in, and I am desperately trying to finish the pieces of my site, and the newsletter is a critical part.

I am running the static home page plug-in by semiologic, and using the WordPress backend to easily add new pages. My site won't necissarily be a blog, rather using the blog interface to easily add new pages and of course SEO purposes. Can anyone point me in the direction where I can integrate a conventional newsletter into WordPress with opt-out.

    Thank in advance,
    John

    John,

have you found an answer to your questions yet? I want to have a SIMPLE opt-in newsletter that I can send to people who wish to subscribe to my mailing list.

I DON'T want something that sends an email everytime I make a post. Since I make 5 posts per day, I am quite confident that I would not have many subscribers after a week.

I have made a seperate install of Dada Mail http://mojo.skazat.com/ and then simply generate the code and put it in my sidebar.

Has opt in / opt out functions.

It is not as easy as a plugin but I also use it for other mailing lists as well.

I put together a lighweight wordpress/phplist plugin that allows you to easily drop a simple PHPList form into any wordpress page.

Sounds like this is what you are looking for...
