Tracking the Hacking

    I’m working from a recent nightly build– but it strikes me as a I am hacking around that I need to keep track of what I am doing in a more organized fashion. How do you keep track of your changes and how (and how often) do you upgrade to new builds– it seems like it is going to get pretty painful if I have to reimplement everything manually every week!

    You can create diffs, and store them away. Diff with the default wp files, and save that for future.
    There is some info at the wiki about diffing that I,l and MooKitty wrote, you can use that.

    From 1.0.1, I upgraded using nightlies every few days, and yes, it was a wee bit tedious, but I got it down to a fine art 🙂
    Otherwise, I made a list and just worked through that – having said that, with the plugins now, it’s a lot less hassle !
