Is there a download or something within my wordpress admin that allows me to see how many hits my site has gotten. I just uploaded my site and am really excited to see how people are going to my site.

    Thanks,

    Patrick Glynn

You have a lot of plugins fot statistics: Wassup, WordPress.com Stats and many more. Or you can sign up for services like: Analytics, StatCounter and enter their tracking code into footer.php of your theme. I personally suggest Analytics.

I suggest signing up with Google Analytics as suggested above and signing up with Woopra: http://www.woopra.com/ and downloading their plugin for WordPress as well: http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/woopra/. Of course there are plenty of options in the WordPress Plugins repository.

Awstates you can use too in your cpanel, I mean, I have hostgator and that's just one of the many ways I monitor the popularity of my site.

I signed up to Analytics, but there is no tracking yet. Everything is at zero. It says it takes up to 24 hours, but what if the status is now a green check? Does that mean it should be working now? I know people are going to my site, this is confusing?

Personally I don't like analytics, their stats are way lower than all the other stat counters I have, they do show countries that your traffic is coming from but other than that I don't use them.

Get the plugin called "wordpress.com stats" it's great and starts working in about 15 min.

    http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/stats/

That's the link to download the plugin.

To answer your question your site is now working with analytics, that's what the green check mark means. At around 2a.m central USA time is when I notice my stats are updated.

Now when I try to check my google Analytics a page pops up from google saying that I need to remove all my caches and cookies because there is an error or something. I removed them both and the Analytics still doesn't work? What do you think the problem is? I tried logging in with my firefox, but it won't because "it's an unsecure site?

Does the WordPress.com Stats only update once a day? It says zero for every categories. I know of at least three people that have gone to my site since I up loaded the plugin. Just wondering

I installed Statcounter per precise instructions and it doesn't work. I'm using WordPress 3.0 beta. Anyone else having this problem?
