Just wondering why when someone posts a link to my blog on theirs the notice from it shows in the comments section as if it was actually posted on my page... Is this normal or a bug? And if its normal. where to change it. Ive quickly overlooked the code and the database data. The 'linkback information' is intered in the comments table... Kinda weird if you ask me...

    Im using WP1.5.2
    Apache/Php 4.x/Mysql 4.x/Linux

    Thanks alot

AFAIK this is normal behavior. Not sure there's an easy way to obviate it.

It is normal - that's how the blogs work.
You can uncheck the "Allow link notifications from other Weblogs (pingbacks and trackbacks.)" in Options > Discussion - or on a post by post basis (Allow pings)
You can set the Trackbacks to go to moderation cue.
Some themes use a code to determine whether it's a comment, trackback or ping - and display a text accordingly.
There are even plugins that will allow you to display trackbacks and comments listed separately.
