   Looks like I replied to a two year old topic so maybe I should ask a question here pertaining to the new version of WP.

   It seems my trackbacks are not being sent out. Is there a setting I am missing other than simply putting the trackback into the form field under your post?

   I tried to trackback myself but got nothing. If I put the url of one of my posts in a new post I get a pingback but if I make a post and put the trackback url in the trackback space with no link in the actual post I get nothing at all.

   Any suggestions?

   If I put the trackback link of one of my posts into the text of another post I get a pingback to the post but still no trackback.

   I also used http://www.tamba2.org.uk/wordpress/TestTrack/ to both ping and trackback and get the same results. I can receive pings but not trackback.

   Am I misunderstanding this altogether?
