Trackbacks - How Do I Refer to Other Blogs??? (2 posts)

Hello, all. I am literally sitting here sweating on this balmly Sunday evening as I'm Googling for hours now trying to figure this out. For the first time today, someone linked to my blog with a trackback. I immediately followed the link and thanked the user for posting an excerpt of my article with the trackback.

Seems I should be doing this more often myself but for the life of me, I don't know how (and I'm an ex IT pro so I'm comfortable with technology).

Please, kindly give me the simple steps. Is there a plugin that I need? Do I simply type the URL within the post? What is the trick?

This is the link of the person who used my trackback today and you can clearly link back to my article. http://kidsbridgemuseum.com/2012/05/26/teen-therapist-sandra-dupont-on-bullying/ How do I do that for someone else? Aaaargh!!! I bet it's something simple, but I'm brain-fried at this point.

And actually, now that I look at the link above, the link back to my site in her intro isn't my trackback URL (http://www.nixonvs.com/interview-with-sandra-dupont-la-teen-therapist/trackback/), she just used http://www.nixonvs.com/interview-with-sandra-dupont-la-teen-therapist/. Therefore, for other WordPress users, is that just how it works? They just enter the URL and I automatically get notification in my comments that someone linked to my content?
