Trackbacks disabled, dut steel have new

    I have disabled trackbacks, but trackbacks continue to be posted
    What i did:
    – disable trackbacks in Options > Discussion panel
    – UPDATE wp_posts SET ping_status=”closed”;
    – delete/rename wp-trackbacks.php in the root wordpress dir.
    – delete all trackback throw admin > comments

    and after 5-10 minutes again see old trackbacks from tweeter
