Hey there!
I've been trying to use the wordpress trackback function for ages now, but it seems as if my blog can neither send nor receive any trackbacks, although I enabled the function in the options menue. Has anyone an idea? Maybe something I have to change in the database?
Blogadress: http://www.inderzwischenzeit.de (german, but some english articles on it, too ... )
Would be awesome if someone here could help me to get my trackbacks running.

Thanks! I followed the instructions and yes, I can ping myself and the pings appear in the comments of the corresponding post.
And another yes: It was possible to send a Trackback from the Testblog to my blog and again the Trackback appeared in my comments. So receiving doesn't seem to be a problem.
But sending trackbacks seems to be more difficult. I tried two different blogs, one wordpress-blog and one based on a different software. I used the trackback-URIs but my trackbacks didn't appear in their comments. So what could be the problem with that, since it was possible to ping myself after all?

What 2 different blogs? Do you have control of them? If not you have no way of knowing whether or not the blog owners are moderating comments, in which case, you wouldnt neccessarily see the results straight away.
I hate to suggest this but the WP dev blog is unmoderated.

Said - Done ... but unfortuneatly without any success. No trackback came through. I just don't get it. Any other suggestion for the problem?
Oh ... and by the way: If any trackback from another blog (not a wordpress blog) does not end with "/trackback/" do trackbacks work anyway?
And the trackback URIs on my blog look like this:
http://www.inderzwischenzeit.de/wp-trackback.php?p=122
No "/trackback/" in the end. How can I change that?

Pinging works. I have just tried it. I can ping different blogs and the pings get trough and are shown in the comments. So again the question: Why can I ping blogs but my trackbacks don't seem to come through? Anything that has to do with the opitions ore something?
