• Lately there has been problems receiving trackbacks between wordpress-blogs. They are properly sent, but not received in the other end.

    This afternoon I sent trackbacks from my main blog at http://iskwew.com/blogg/ to my testblog at http://iskwew.com/Testblog/
    The trackback was never received. However, when I checked firestats, there had been visits from wordpress:

    195.47.247.102 2007-02-13 13:48:15 /Testblogg/?p=1/trackback/ unknown WordPress 2.1 DENMARK WordPress/2.1
    195.47.247.102 2007-02-13 13:48:15 /Testblogg/?p=1 unknown WordPress 2.1 DENMARK WordPress/2.1

    Firestats registers all hits on the blog. So does anyone have any idea why the tracbacks were not properly received?

    Regards,
    Iskwew

  • I’ve been having the really weird problem with trackbacks going to the wrong posts (a new problem I’ve noticed since my 2.1 upgrade). But I haven’t really started investigating this yet because I have bigger challenges with my site right now…

    Since WordPress does not accept support related questions on e-mail, I will have to bring this up again here in the support page.

    The only ones, I think, that can figure this problem out, is wordpress. I sure can’t.

    Hi iskew, I have got the same problem.
    I have already renewed all wordpress core files to 2.0.8, checked MySQL with phpadmin and couldn’t find anything wrong there. Testing through other blogs returned just an “unrecognized error”
    What version are you running?

    I am using 2.1, bit the problem existed before that.

    And I have posted a question to Akismet about it. In the hope that they might reply, to say whether or not this is an Akismet issue.

    I also had a problem on receiving pings. It turned out that mod_security blocked access to xmlrpc.php.
    I have added this to my .htaccess file:

    <Files xmlrpc.php>
    SecFilterInheritance Off
    </Files>

    I have tested it and pingbacks work fine again!

    I did not receive any trackbacks, after this, it works!

    Actually I am too, get same problem like you all
