    hi.
I own an online store based on a wp platform. I would like to promote the website on different sites using my own banners, so i could use a plugin that keeps records of visitors: which site did they came from, when, to which section of my website did they go, etc. I couldn't find a suitable plugin in the wp plugins directory. Can someone tell me if such a plugin exists?

Looks like there are a few about, you'd need to test a few to find one that meets you needs.

    I can't recommend any though, I don't use them.

James, slimstat provides great statistics, but I'm interested in is a plugin that works based on cookies or something, so that i can tell if a visitor from a specific traffic source bought something or not.
    Thanks anyway.

    Hi Adrian

I find Wassup extremely useful. It has the ability to show you where a visitor has come from and to track which pages they have visited whilst on your site.

Unfortunately, the screen shots on the plugin creators site are useless but I think this could be along the lines of what your looking for.

Adrian, WP SlimStat can tell you the source of your visits, plus it tracks visitors with a cookie, to watch where they go and when they leave. Wassup is very clunky and clogs your database after a while, so I'd be careful in using it. Plus it's not officially compatible with WP 3.0 anymore.

I have WordPress version 3.0.1 installed and it works perfectly fine for me.

I have installed and used many stat plugins including SlimStat, all of which have the possiblity of 'clogging up your database' depending on the settings you choose. The more in depth information you require to be recorded over a long period of time, the more resources and database space will be used up. Plus many stat plugins record much more stuff than you may actually really want.

WassUp is extremely simple to use and is perfect for my needs. I just need a plugin that tells me where my visitors have come from (if from a search engine, what keyword they used to find me) and where they went while they were on my site. With none of the extra unneccessary junk.

guys, i start to have some database mess-up. When i post some info, the same info appears on several posts.
Is this something related to wassup messing the database? I have this error after i upgraded to 3.0.2.

Did it happened to anybody else?
