   Hi there. New to the boards and new to WordPress also.

   I have set up WordPress without too much of a problem. What I am strugling with is the menu system so that visitors can navigate to certain categories. I prefer this than having the side menu system. What part of the css would control this as I have looked at style.css but can't seem to find out where the relevant code is for the menu

   I don´t know your template, but if you have the list of categories in a top menu, I think you have to look in your theme folder/header.php after <?php wp_list_categories(); ?>. This is the template tag for displaying your categories (only the styling is done with CSS). Delete it and put it in your sidebar.php.
