I’m volunteering to design a school website and am trying to use your BE Subpages plugin. We have this hierarchy as an example:

    Grades (Main Menu page)
    > First Grade
    > Second Grade
    > Homework
    > Special Activities
    > Third Grade
    > Teacher Introduction

When I click the top-level ‘Grades’ link, the plugin displays the following sub-pages perfectly:
    > First Grade
    > Second Grade
    > Third Grade

However, when I click either the ‘Second Grade’ link or the ‘Homework’ sub-page link, the plugin does display the ‘Second Grade’ sub-pages, but it still displays the ‘First Grade’ & ‘Third Grade’ items as well:
    > First Grade
    > Second Grade
    > Teacher Introduction
    > Special Activities
    > Third Grade

When we click the ‘Second Grade’ link, we would like the plugin to only display its own sub-pages.
    > Teacher Introduction
    > Special Activities

When a user clicks ‘Second Grade’, shouldn’t that page be considered the top-level page and, in turn, only display its sub-pages?

I’m familiar with web design, but still fairly new to WP and plugins so I apologize if this is a newbie question. I have searched online trying to find the answer, but couldn’t find what I was looking for.

This plugin is designed to always display the section’s subpages. That is, the children of the top page in the current hierarchy. It is not designed to display simply the current page’s subpages.

You’ll need to write your own widget to handle that.
