    Hello James,

Something (your theme, I think) is loading an extra version of the jQuery JavaScript library, after the WordPress version has already loaded. This causes problems for the tooltip script my plugin uses.

Could you try temporarily switching to one of the default themes, just to confirm whether or not it’s the theme that’s to blame?

If you are using the latest version of WordPress, the qTip plugin will not work. It uses a browser sniffer function that is deprecated in jQuery 1.10.2.

Ross – is there any plan to update the tooltip functionality in this plugin? I really like the way it works, and having the ability to style the calendar in the sidebar or on a full page; but the qTip incompatibility means I can’t update to WP 3.8…

    Hello,

If jQuery is loaded correctly, WordPress automatically loads the jQuery migrate script too, and the plugin works fine. If your theme or another plugin loads (incorrectly) another version of jQuery, you’ll run into problems.

If you could provide a link to your site, I might be able to figure out where exactly the problem lies.

Ultimately, I realise that I need to replace qTip, but this probably isn’t going to happen soon to be honest, and (assuming everything is loaded correctly), it isn’t broken in 3.8.

Thanks so much for your reply! I have not uploaded the updates to the live site, so it’s not available for you to browse, but I’m sure your tip about jQuery migrate is the the answer.
