   I posted a new entry on (my sire) at 10:38 a.m. on Dec. 3, but my feed didn't show the new post in my newsreader
   (Newsgator) until 5 p.m.--11 hours later. I am using Feedburner.

   Comments, however, appeared immediately after being posted in my comments feed.

   Under Settings > Writing > Update Services, the only item I have is the default one:

   http://rpc.pingomatic.com/

   Is there anything I can do to have my RSS feed updated quicker?

   sure, tell newsgator to work quicker.

   to test this, turn off any redirects you have for your feed -- feedburner that kind of thing, and check how long after you post, that your ACTUAL feed takes to change. Thats what wordpress controls.

   Thanks whooami. Without changing anything, my last post appeared almost immediately. If the problem resumes I'll try your suggestions.

   Nope--post yesterday appeared almost instantly.
