Redirection
Too many redirects using Redirection plugin by John Godley (4 posts)

It's been ages since I have made this mistake, but I changed the name of this page: http://glutenfreerecipebox.com/blog to http://glutenfreerecipebox.com/blog-posts. Then I created a redirect using the redirection plugin. Later I thought of another way to fix my original problem and changed the page back to /blog, and then deleting the original redirect from the plugin. Unfortunately, now when I go to http://glutenfreerecipebox.com/blog it redirects to http://glutenfreerecipebox.com/blog-posts with an error message of "Too many redirects". This page is very important to my blog. Any help would be appreciated. I really want to keep the name /blog.

This all started when I created a new website in the same root directory as this one. When I created a subdomain for the new domain, blog.example.com my glutenfreerecipebox.com/blog page automatically redirected to the blog.example.com site. Crazy. I'm still working on that problem!

I did the same thing you did and I think it gets the Redirection plugin confused. Required using PhpMyAdmin to remove the offending line(s).

    Hi,
Your link discusses "Theme my login" plugin. I am having a redirect issues with the "Redirection" plugin. I don't want to uninstall it, then reinstall only for it to add additional problems. When I look at the site now there are multiple 301 redirects. Some of which existed even before this plugin was installed. Does WordPress create 301's automatically? I also have Yoast installed. The url in question http://www.lockdoctor.ie/
more importantly the specific url causing the problem http://www.lockdoctor.ie/24-hour-locksmiths/
    Thankyou
