[resolved] Too Many 404's reporting from JetPack Contact Form - Feedback Module ? (6 posts)

    Hi,
Recently I installed 404 redirected plugin to basically get an overview of very few posts and fix them.

Then, I ended up getting huge list of URLs with significant hits on them returning the 404 error.

Further digging online, I see that these are related to Feedback Module under Jetpack's Contact Form. This module is accessible under Admin dashboard.

However - I am using Jetpack form in only single contact-us page + the admin module shouldn't ideally hit a 60+ not-found errors on each post ID.

I would like you to see this image : http://i.imgur.com/DX1L8mh.jpg

How can we disable/resolve this without Deactivating contact form

    Thanks in advance

    Thanks Jeremy for replying,

I am sending you an email right-away with same Subject as this thread + including login details so that you can see reports from 404 Redirection

    Thanks again.

And yes, once you log-in - you will need to go to Settings > 404 Redirected > Captured 404 URLs to see the problem listed above.

I replied to your email with some information, but I thought I'd mention the source of the error here as well, if that can help others:

It appears that another plugin, "Broken Link Checker", tries to load all Feedback Pages every 72 hours. Since the Feedbacks can only be seen from your dashboard, the plugin generates 404 errors for each Feedback post.

You can solve the issue by going to Settings > Link Checker > Look for Links in in your dashboard: you will be able to disable Feedbacks there.

Indeed - I never imagined it...

I really appreciate your quick feedback. :)
