    Hello,
    Despite updating the plugin, and installing the Bad Behavior plugin, my client is suffering a big increase in the amount of spam registrations. What to do?

    Thanks.

    @RachelGoldstein71,

    You could try the stop spammers plugin:
    http://wordpress.org/plugins/stop-spammer-registrations-plugin/

    You could also try limiting access to the site by using a .htaccess file. This site is a great resource:

    Hi,

    My website received approximately 20 real registrations, but also many false addresses from false registrations. Is there a possibility to unsubscribe them, and how to do that?
    Do I have to copy the good adresses, uninstall the plugin, reinstall, and register again the good persons, and install "Stop spammer" or another plugin? What to you think?

    Many Thanks,

    Laurent.

    @Laurent,

    You can delete them. False Public subscribers that have never confirmed will be automatically deleted after 28 days. False Registered Subscribers can be deleted in the core WordPress Users->All Users page.

    It's done now. Thanks for your advice!

    To avoid new false subscribers, is it helpful to reinstall Subscribe2 or is it enough to install "Stop spammers" (or another one, because compatibilities aren't available))?

    Thanks again,

    Laurent.

    @Laurent,

    You don't need to reinstall Subscribe2. Just add in you anti-spam measures plugin(s).

    All right, I'll try this.

    Many thanks,
    Have a nice week,

    Laurent.
