To use or not to use Custom Post Types (2 posts)

Hello everyone. This is my first time to ask a question to the community, although I have been a lot of times in here looking for answers. And most of the time I'm happy to find helpful people around here.

My question is not really very technical, in fact it will not involve any codes. I am seeking for an advice. I am currently building a news website. Not that large but will grow big overtime and I was wondering if I should use Custom Post Types to better organize the content or use CAtegories instead? There will be like 10 sections/categories, and sub sections/categories will grow under each overtime.

I'm thinking of using custom post types but I think I need some of your opinion. I hope somebody out there can help.

    Thanks!

If you are just blogging, then use categories and tags as per usual. CPTa are for things that don't fit in the usual mold, not a replacement for taxonomies.

For example, if pages were not already in WordPress core, you would make a CPT for them.
