[resolved] To much space between the thumbnails (15 posts)

    Hi,

I've installed the NextGen Gallery plugin, and uploaded images to my gallery. The problem is, the gallery is showing the thumbnails in three rows (this is good ), but with to much space between them and I would like the thumbnails closer to each other...

    How can this be solved???

    Thanks!

You'll need to post a link to the page showing the problem as the solution varies depending on the site.

    I'm not seeing any thumbnails just an un-interpreted shortcode [print_gllr id=100] ?

Each thumb is being allocated 33% of the width so you should go to Gallery -> Options -> Gallery and check whats set in "Number of Columns".

    Maybe its set to 3?

The "Number of Columns" is indeed set to 3, because I like to have 3 Columns next to each other.

Ok. Try this setting/changing .ngg-galleryoverview { width: 45%; } in your css. Its currently 100%. 45% places the thumbnails nicely to the left of the large pic of a model but set it to whatever you like best.

    ok.

Three of the thumbnails are 1px shorter (74px instead of 75px) so you should use the re-create thumbnail option in the gallery settings. Leaving them at 74px may give you blank spaces as you add more images.

    Hi,

Where exactly can I change this, the re-create thumbnail option??

Because in the 'thumbnail settings' I've got Width x height (in pixel) 400 x 400

Go to Gallery -> Manage Gallery.

You can either re-create all thumbnails by selecting gallery names then using "Create new thumbnails" from the dropdown list or click on a gallery name, select all or several thumbnails and use the "Create new thumbnails" in the dropdown list.

In all cases you need to click Apply once you've selected which gallery or images you want to create new thumbs for.

400x400 is a huge thumbnail - 3 might not fit on your page. Your thumbs are currently 100w x 75h.

Okay thanks again for your clear explanation..

Should I also use for the width 74px??

The default size is 100x75 so I'd use 75. You can always change it to something else later.
