[resolved] To make header and footer more visible (9 posts)

Thank you Caroline for this beautiful theme.

I've installed and started customizing the theme using the child theme, and visited pretty much all the past posts to get ideas and solutions, but still have a few things I either could not find answers or suggested methods did not work.
I'll post each one separately to keep it simple - any advice will be much appreciated!

    The site is this

*To make menu and footer more visible*

I'd like the menu, the logo (header) and the footer to be more visible without having have to be hovered.

I understand this is to do with opacity and I have followed the instruction on this but was unsuccessful.

I couldn't make them darker but not only that I lost the visibility of some of the circles, so I had to delete what I've tried for now.

If anyone could help me with this, maybe advising me exactly which lines are there opacity settings located in the style.css and exactly which lines do I need to copy and edit, in case I had missed something or not done right in the first time.

    Thanks heaps for your help.

Have figured out and made successful changes to header/menu, but still cannot find the part to change the footer. I've read through style sheet again and again, and tried different parts but no result.

If anyone could advise where in style sheet I can fix this (to lose the opacity of the footer) would be appreciated.

    Cheers

ra_ra I am desperate to know how too - all the links on the site are too pale. I really hope you update this thread.

There are already other threads on this issue that have solutions, just to let you know.

Hi Andrew, I've spent several hours reading through several threads - some really helpful posts on here for sure. Unfortunately not many have a solution that works. Having looked at ra-ra's site, I can see whatever she's done works beautifully. Not only for the headers but for all live links. I'm hoping she'll reply.

If you create a new thread in Spun's subforums about this I'll answer.

Btw when you post for help in someone's thread you are only visible to people who happen to be looking at the same thread. Especially with old threads you dramatically reduce the chance of someone giving help to you. In general always create a thread to discuss your issue.
