TML 6.3.8 Registration form showing when user is logged in

I have a menu option called “join” that always shows. I think the way TML used to work, if I was logged in and clicked on join, I did not get the full registration screen. Now, a logged in user gets the full registration screen. It seems to me that what it should do is give them the option of logging out. Is there a way to make that happen?
