WordPress SEO by Yoast
Title Tags appearing twice (7 posts)

I've recently started using WordPress SEO from Yoast and believe it's a great plugin.

But now my title tags are appearing twice, and the name of my site is duplicated (shown below)

The Sideline Agenda - The Sideline Agenda - Sports | Fast-paced. Dynamic. Global

I've inserted the title code into header.php that has been suggested elsewhere:

    <title><?php wp_title(''); ?></title>

And I've also tried the force re-write option within the Yoast settings

    But neither have worked

My template in the settings for the homepage, and for posts is:

    %%sitename%% %%sep%% %%sitedesc%%

    Any help out there please??

I just ran into this issue was able to solve it by replacing everything between the <title> tags with:

    <?php wp_title(''); ?>

tcollins45 > Not sure if you replaced everything in between the title tag with the code.

I found this really great guide which was very helpful: WordPress SEO Settings Plugin 1.4 by Yoast, Set up SEO in the Best Way

Here's where he starts to talk about the title settings.

I posted the same type of problem on here:

I have a twitter feed plugin installed. When I activate the WordPress SEO (version 1.4.7), my twitter feeds double on the username (see bold portion of example):

LONESTAR Sets Tuesday, June 4 Release Date For 'Life As We Know It' | Music News NashvilleMusic News Nashville http://www.musicnewsnashville.com/lonestar-sets-tuesday-june-4-release-date-for-life-as-we-know-it

I cannot find anything in the plugin to address this issue.

    Suggestions?

None of these solutions are working
