    Actually, BuddyPress Media works as a component (like activities, groups, friends, etc). A component and profile are very nice to each other. A component and component don’t like each other much!

    So, yes, the Groups implementation is very hacky and raw compared to the profile implementation. And yes, you can’t actually do much with a photo, once it is uploaded to a group.

    However, we are revisioning BuddyPress Media because we need to change the implementation a bit to make it work well across groups too.
