Tippy title words do not show up in blogroll (5 posts)

The tippy defined words (title="") do not show up in the blogroll of all blogposts, but works fine in the actual post. So when folks see the first snippet of the post, the tippy sections are just missing. Am I doing something wrong?

Is that an issue just in rss feeds?

At this URL (the blogroll, http://westernvet.ca/news/)
"At the time of presentation Jeri was ."

At this URL (the post, http://westernvet.ca/patient-stories-jeri-cadman/)
"At the time of presentation Jeri was tetraparetic."

Tetraparetic is defined via tippy, but does not show up unless viewing the post itself. I'm fine with it not being tippy responsive in the list of blog posts that show a snippet preview of each post, but I would like the word itself to show up as opposed to just a blank space. Am I missing something or is this a theme issue?

    Thanks for any advice!

Learn something new every day - shortcodes are not executed inside of the_excerpt. There are ways around that, I'll need to check into the pro's and con's before deciding whether or not to go around it for Tippy.

Well that explains that. I had no idea shortcodes wouldn't function there. Thanks for the reply and please post back if you decide to circumvent it for Tippy. Cheers.
