    Hello,

    TinyMCE Advanced editor doesn't seem to work on the promotions? It is there and looks like it is working in the edit window, but no change on the front end slide?

    Will this not work?

    cheers

    @igloobob,

    Only the featured image and, if enabled, the excerpt will show on the slide. By default, when a user clicks on a slide it will take them to the promotion page, which will contain the content you enter into the TinyMCE editor. It is working, you are just looking in the wrong place.

    Yes, I just noticed this and was abut to post back. Is there any way of styling the excerpt text?

    @igloobob,

    Indeed there is. There is a div wrapped around the excerpt with a class of promo_slider_excerpt.

    Hi Micah,

    I was more meaning is it possible to style bits within the excerpt differently, such as or a <span> etc. I suspect not though.

    One more question, is there a way to make the entire slide a link rather than just the promo title?

    @igloobob,

    You can place HTML in the excerpt field and it will display in the slider.

    Regarding making the whole slide a link, that is possible. It will require using one of the built-in filters to change the markup or some custom JavaScript to get that working.

    Hi Micah,

    that's great re: the html in the excerpt, will do that for sure.

    "Regarding making the whole slide a link, that is possible. It will require using one of the built-in filters to change the markup or some custom JavaScript to get that working. "

    This sounds beyond me, could you possibly point me in the right direction so I can look into it please?

    Thanks for the suggestions

    @igloobob,

    Here is an easy way to implement what you are wanting with the links: http://css-tricks.com/snippets/jquery/make-entire-div-clickable/

    Instead of using .myBox, just use .promo_slider.

    sorry for being a complete numpty but where should I be adding this script?

    $(".promo_slider").click(function(){
    window.location=$(this).find("a").attr("href");
    return false;
    });

    You can drop it into the js file in the promotion slider plugin. Just know that an update to the plugin will overwrite your added code. You may be able to add to a js file in your theme, or if you really want to do it right you would create a plugin that handles all your site-specific code and load it there.

    Just make sure it is inside of this:

    jQuery(document).ready( function($) {
      # Put it in here, either before or after everything else.
    } );
