    Hello all,

I am not sure what is happening here but with one of my sites TinyMCE has stopped working correctly. It is showing all the markup code in the visual editor and the tool bar is no longer visible. I’ve turned off all plugins and have overwritten all of the WordPress files, but with no luck. Anyone know what is going on here? Thanks!

  • Have you tried:

    – switching to the default theme to rule out any theme-specific problems?

resetting the plugins folder by FTP or phpMyAdmin? Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.

    – re-uploading the wp-admin and wp-includes folders from a fresh download of WordPress?

    increasing your available memory?

Thanks a lot for the tips. I had done most of them before, but the php.ini was a new idea. I’ve had to increase that in the past but with this site I was still using the default. This appears to have fixed it – we’ll see if it takes.

I hope this thread helps anyone else with the problem. The site is being hosted on 1and1.com and I’ve run into memory issues with them in the past. At least it’s an easy fix.
