TimThumbs Blocked Access?

Hi,

I have been researching and trying to fix this problem I am experiencing for 3 weeks now. I had timthumbs working fine hot-linked to a server that provides the images and one day it stopped working. I checked everything, reinstalled a fresh copy of wordpress and tried different versions of timthumbs to no avail. I also subsequently installed wordpress onto a different server and it works! I was wondering if a server can block access to my server ip address and prevent me from accessing the images?

I do have authorized access to the server but i spoke with the administrators and they said that they don’t monitor usage on the image servers and won’t have blocked access to it.

Please let me know what you think is wrong. My gut is that my IP is blocked.
