Time sync problem with WP (6 posts)

I have my blog running successfully since last five years, at http://vsagar.com
Recently I am using XML Sitemap Generator for WordPress 3.2.8 plugin and Jetpack by WordPress.com, 1.6.1.

I have already set my General Settings with Timezone to Kolkata (UTC time is 2012-08-27 15:15:47 Local time is 2012-08-27 20:45:47).

But the problem is that the plugins conflict with time synchronization with WP General Settings.

    • My Jetpack site stats are: Stats for August 27, 2012, 3:18 pm
    • And the XML Sitemap time is: August 26, 2012 2:19 PM
    • All these time values given here are just copy-pasted for the current time itself, i.e. for UTC time is 2012-08-27 15:15:47 Local time is 2012-08-27 20:45:47
    • I live in India.
    • So I cannot figure out the Site Stats as well as the XML site map's reports
    • Please help anybody...

I am not 100% sure on the timezones, but a couple of things to look in to:

Jetpack plugin refers to wordpress.com service, I'm not sure if you need to/are able to configure your timezone over on your wordpress.com account?

Also, you can set your WP timezone in general settings, as you have - but files can also get the current time from your server. Is your server set up to reflect your local timezone?

I have sent the query about server set up to reflect the local timezone on my server, in particular.

I am expecting the reply soon...

    Dear Rev. Voodoo sir,
I just received the reply from my server people which is as follows -

Thank you for contacting Online Support.

Our hosting servers are setup to support Arizona Time. As such, you would need to use your preferred search engine for the process of adjusting your settings through a configuration file. This information is not something that we have available through our Help Center. We appreciate your understanding on this matter.

Please let us know if we can assist you in any other way.

Please guide me now as to how this problem could be resolved...

    Thanks...

Well... I can't be 100% on what your server supports, but you can possibly do this through a php.ini file... but you really need to research with your host to see if they support php.ini, and in what directory?

You may already have this file, you may need to create it but adding

    date.timezone = "US/Central"

should set the timezone Obviously would need to be adjusted to your timezone)...

    http://php.net/manual/en/timezones.america.php
can help you with your timezone
