Thumnbails keep disappearing

    Dear WP community,

    We have a blog that we run showing caravan reviews etc.

    Our problem is this, every know and then we post a new article to our blog and sporadically we lose a series of thumbnail images from other articles. We then have to go through and re-attach the missing thumbnails.

    However, when viewing the full article the main attached images remain in place.

    Could this likely be resolved via an upgrade to the latest version of is it inherantly more simple.

    Have you tried:

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the default theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.

    – resetting the plugins folder by FTP or PhpMyAdmin. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.

    – re-uploading the wp-admin and wp-includes folders from a fresh download of WordPress 3.1.1.

    – repairing your database
