Thumbs broken and gallery backend shows code

Just upgraded to 1.9.12 and thumbs for new posts using [ng gallery id] shows broken images. From the backend, when sorting the galleries a static (?) side with code is shown. Previous inserted pictures through short code shows as it should.
Please help!
