I really like wp-filebase, as it does a lot of nice things in a really simple package, and I have found not other plugin that is comparable in functionality.
But the one thing I sorely need is the ability to have thumbnails for my ZIP files that I want to list on an "Archives" page. The archives in question are Magazine Issues, so I'm sure you can see why I would want to display them with a Thumbnail.
I've already tested this by uploaded the covers themselves, at which point they have thumbnails made for them, so I know the thumbnail creation itself works. It just seems like we are not allowed, for whatever reason, to assign thumbnails to whatever file type we want.
This is a long term goal, so having to manually build and maintain an archives page will at some point become a pain in the butt.
Am I missing something here, or is it truly not supported?
