Hi, I thought I already responded but somehow it didn’t show up here in the thread. I believe for my version, there is a “Crop and Save” button rather than crop and save separated as in the link your pointed out.

I can see the new thumbnails saved in the wordpress admin, but it never gets reflected on my site.

Please advise! Thanks again!!

The crop and save is an option that you have selected then, that’s great, the next thing to check is if your theme actually supports post thumbnails, some themes use a different method to generate the thumbnails. More information on enabling and using post thumbnails can be found here: http://codex.wordpress.org/Post_Thumbnails

Great! Thanks for the prompt reply. I will check into it.

I’m suddenly having this same problem although it was working just fine only moments ago. I successfully cropped thumbnails for about 5 posts in a row without any problem. When I worked on the 6th and 7th posts, the cropped images would not show up on the page even though I could see the different thumbnails in the viewer. I too am using Crop and Save. I tried clearing the cache, checking the box to add a time stamp and also using a different browser. Same result.

@antoniamar – could you download the latest version here and enable debugging (Settings → Post Thumbnail Editor), do you see anything in the log?

Hi, I’ve just downloaded the Post Thumbnail Editor version 2.3.0 and I’m using Google Chrome with the latest WordPress edition. I’ve been struggling with the Thumbnail editor for a few days but it’s not working. I can get it to crop and save but it does not show up on my website. I’ve followed your steps and i’ve also gone to Settings –> post thumbnail editor and enabled debugging. My theme does support Thumbnail Editor (Mercury theme by Themegoods).

Please help!!!

@hayley.ng – From the post-thumbnail-editor, in the view tab, are the post-thumbnails being updated correctly?

Assuming they are, make sure that you find the correct post-thumbnail to change for your theme. I would go through the code and find where the thumbnail is being called to get the correct name, then check that that post-thumbnail image is correct (within PTE).

Yes, the post-thumbnails in the view tab are being updated correctly. Also, weird thing is the thumbnail is updating correctly on my phone but not on my desktop browser.
Can you help?

@hayley.ng – In your browser try pressing ctrl+f5, which should clear the cache and reload all the images. If that works, then you can try to set the cache-buster option.

I didn’t see the word “error” anywhere in the log file. Do you offer paid support? Whatever the problem is, I don’t have the skill set to figure it out. It’s very frustrating since I know the plugin works. I just want to get this project done.

@antoniamar – are you using the jetpack plugin? If so try disabling the photon add-in (it caches the base picture and then tries to apply wordpress’ default cropping to it).

If you’re still having problems you can email me at <http://sn.im/–email-123>.

I’m not using Jetpack. I just sent you an e-mail.
