I have a mixture of portrait and landscape images. For the thumbnails, all of my portrait images’ heads are cut off in square & landscape orientation, and for my landscape images, some are cut off if I were to choose square or portrait orientation. Either way, some images are getting cut off. Is there a way to just have the image re-size without cutting off? Thank you!

Unfortunately there isn’t a way to prevent this today, but we are adding an option for this in an upcoming release. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Thanks for your reply. I actually figured a way around it by creating 2 galleries – one with all of the portrait images and selecting ‘portrait’ orientation, the other with all of the landscape images and selecting ‘landscape’ orientation. Then I placed both gallery codes on the same page. Worked out beautifully, in case anyone else has the same issue 🙂

Ah, well, yes, that would work too 🙂

How did you choose “portrait” orientation?
This is really annoying though, bugs like this should not appear at this stage of wordpress….

Sorry this is a plugin thread, I am having this problem with a regular wordpress gallery

MaxGalleria has an option to select “portrait” or “landscape”. I don’t know if the regular WP gallery has something similar.

    No – it doesn’t.
