Using wordpress 3.2 I noticed that the thumbnails generated for the images I upload are actually cropped images. These cropped images look ugly on the theme I am using. I would like to know how I can fix it so that my images are resized and not cropped.

Posted 10 months ago #Go into settings -> Media and uncheck the option marker "Crop thumbnail to exact dimensions (normally thumbnails are proportional)"
If you then have to regenerate your thumbnails there's a plugin for that - http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/regenerate-thumbnails/
