    Hey there, I hope this hasn’t been asked before, but everything I was able to find was either french or russian, which aren’t the languages I’m best at *cough cough*

    So here comes my problem: I’m using your slideshow on WP 3.2.1 and it actually works perfectly fine except that first clicking the news in the slideshow doesn’t redirect me to the featured post, and secondly whenever the slideshow switches the first news a thumbnail-picture of one of the news appears, just like that. In the preview on the plugin-settings this doesn’t happen. Changing the ‘kind’ of transition doesn’t solve the problem as well. I’m really not good at this stuff and hope that you can help me.

    My plugin ID is 1898 (don’t know if that’s important) and the website I’m talking about is this one.

    Thanks in advance
    Speedy

    try to reset the configuration to default and see if it continues to work bad

    Thanks for your quick response 🙂
    After I resetted the settings, the thumbnail-picture was still appearing, but this time as a permanent fixed background. It seems it’s there all the time, but hidden behind the current shown news. If the news fades, the thumbnail gets visible until the new icon hides it again, like a permanent background. I do actually have each field filled in under “background images / textures and loader animation” except for the “Buttons bar background image”, because putting in there a picture doesn’t seem to change something at all though. I’m really lost here right now.

    Looks like a side effect from your theme css. Try to use developper toolbar on firefox to show the css associated with this part of the slider and correct your css

    Okay I found this entry via firebug which, if deleted, let’s the thumbnail-picture disappear.

    <div class="post-image post-image-right">
    <img class="attachment-200x200 wp-post-image" width="200" height="112" title="Dark-Messiah-News" alt="Dark-Messiah-News" src="http://www.thestormhawks.net/wp-content/uploads/2011/08/Dark-Messiah-News-300x169.jpg">
    </div>

    Is this of any need, or can I delete it permanently and if yes, where can I do so? I’m really not good at this stuff =/

    it is not part of the slider at all… maybe your theme or a plugin

    Done it, was an entry in the theme (Headway) which posted the thumbnail-picture below the news-entry. Since the Slideshows (strangely) is below the title of the first news, the thumbnail-picture was shown in the slideshow.
    So good thing is your plugin wasn’t the problem, bad thing – I still have some problems with it (or at least my page does):
    So my Slideshow is below the headline of the first news, what it shouldn’t (and the linking doesn’t work as well).
    Is this a problem caused by the template again, or does it come from the plugin?

    (I’m sorry for being continuously annoying Dx)

    Well what you say sounds like you are using the default behavior for displaying the slider, try to use the shortcode way.
