Thumbnail Image Reference

This plug-in worked in my design for WordPress 2.7, but apparently, it’s not working now:

<span class=”home_post_image”>“><?php dp_attachment_image($post->ID, ‘thumbnail’, ‘alt=”‘ . $post->post_title . ‘”‘); ?></span>

Any suggestions on using this is WordPress 2.8?
