Is there a plugin which would make an archive page with thumbnails of all the images posted (or at least one thumbnail per post) and that thumbnail would link to post?

I'm getting frustrated and 'Snazzy archives' is the best I have found so far for my blog: http://markuspuustinen.com/blog/archives/ The calendar is totally unnecessary for me and it creates ugly thumbnails from only a small part of the image.
Please help!

Bumping the thread. I also would like to have the same functionality. Is there a way or a plugin to accomplish this.

I gave up a long time ago and use Google+ as my archive. It has excellent thumbnail grid archive. I'm moving my blog also to Blogger to integrate it all.
