Support » Plugin: WordPress Gallery Plugin - NextGEN Gallery » Thumbnail Error after Updating

  • Hi all,

    after uodating the next gen gallery my thumbnails where broken (just link displayed) and i got an error message on several pages with included pics::

    Warning: require_once(…/plugins/nextgen-gallery/widgets/widgets.php) [function.require-once]: failed to open stream: Datei oder Verzeichnis …plugins/nextgen-gallery/nggallery.php on line 289

    And instead of Thumbnails an html code…

    Has anyone an idea how to fix this? Also using Next gen optimizer.

    Thx!!

    ps: instead of the thumbnails we get:

    class=”ngg-galleryoverview”
    id=”ngg-gallery-1ab65f9a9960c947fbca4800354a6b71-1″> title=””
    data-image-id=’3522′
    class=’ngg_lightbox’> title=”serles-stubai-001-pmsxx”
    alt=”serles-stubai-001-pmsxx”
    src=”http://www.bergtour-online.de/wp-content/bilder/serles-stubai/thumbs/thumbs_serles-stubai-001-pmsxx.jpg”
    width=”83″
    height=”60″
    style=”max-width:none;”
    /> title=””
    data-image-id=’3523′
    class=’ngg_lightbox’> title=”serles-stubai-002-pmsxx”
    alt=”serles-stubai-002-pmsxx”…

    I got the same problem, all my thumbnails on over 1000 galleries gone. I had to downgrade nextgen v1.9.13 for the 3d time now, it fixed the problem for now. I wish there was some kind of converter to convert the nextgen galleries into wordpress galleries. I’ve had enough of having to fix my sites every time nextgen bring out another update with another set of problems. I bought the pro version last week thinking it would fix some things but it didn’t, it actually made things worse by overwriting all my image protection giving everybody access to steal my images. I asked for my money back and got a refund within a week.

    @fredel – Is the error still present after you deactivate all plugins, and reactivate NextGEN Gallery only? If it’s still present, would you mind temporarily switching to WordPress default theme > clear browser cache and reload your site?

    hey becky,
    thx for mail. i deactivated all others, switching theme is not really an option, because i will loose many stuff…
    do you have any idea for another workaround?
    thx

    I had the same issue- the code showed up instead of the galleries on one of the websites I manage.

    class=”ngg-galleryoverview”
    id=”ngg-gallery-1cc21c0a904f888435577fec23bf6413-1″>
    etc.

    So I deactivated all my plugins and activated WP Twenty Thirteen and my galleries worked. I am using the Hotec Theme with a Child Theme. The particular site I am using for testing is a members-only site so I can’t give out the URL (not helpful I know).

    Unfortunately, I manage 40+ websites and using a work around for the galleries isn’t an option.

    I’ve the same problem too…

    You don’t lose nothing if you active default theme for a test

    ok, i will try so! since several seems to have this problem, maybe it will be fixed “for” other themes as well…. (v1.9.x ist working very good, but updates are really usefull & cool)

    thx
