Hi all I am trying to set up my WordPress blog. I have had one before which crashed when my website (FTP) was hacked I have done all the setup steps however, when I try to do the last setup step I get this msg (see below). I am using a Linux server with 1and1, and have set up my tables using there MySQL Administration, and followed the setup steps from WordPress so it should work. all I can think is my old blog is stopping it from working as its linked to the same website. Is there anyway to fit this? As I can't log into my old wordpress blog because of the redirect loop.

Please help if you can Many thanks John

Check for .htaccess file and other dot files. Rename them to htaccess.txt to temporarily solve it.

Check the .htaccess and whether you have changed the siteurl from www to non-ww version, for example.

If you have not disabled or blocked cookies required by the site, then the issue is with Apache. Ask 1and1 in that case.
