    Hey John,

I'm not sure why you'd be seeing that error, but I'm working on an update that should be out within the week that should address a lot of the issues people have had with the last update. Keep and eye for the update and let me know if you're still having issues after that.

Thanks slushman, sorry just saw your reply now. Im still getting this error though. Any ideas? Ive tried everything but no matter what link I put in it keeps saying "This user has not activated their music player".

    Hey John,
Can you give me links to your profile and the SoundCloud URL as well?

Does it work if you put the URL for SoundCloud set instead of the profile?

In the case of SoundCloud, the player is embedded via oEmbed. I"m guessing SoudCloud doesn't have an oEmbed player available from the profile URL, but would from a set URL.

You can try out this URL to test:

Hi Slushman. Sorry that doesn't work either.

Weird. I'm not able to reproduce the issue on my end. What happens if you deactivate, then reactivate? If that doesn't work, what about reinstalling the plugin?

I deactivated, deleted & then reinstalled. No joy! Do you see the player at your end?

Yeah, on my test site, I get a player using either my test URL or your URL. I'm not certain what could be the issue then.

Do you know what version of PHP you're using on your server? I believe you'd need at least 5.2+.

Do you have other plugins running? I try to write my stuff to not conflict with others, but that's always a possibility. Maybe something has turned oembed?

I gotta admit, you got me stumped.

Hi Slushman, sorry I really ned your help here or can you recommend another player I can use? I tried to create my own player by using the soundcloud embed code from their website + custom field values but not sure how to call it from the users profile url. It uses track id http://help.soundcloud.com/customer/portal/articles/1338578-how-to-post-to-wordpress

Sorry for not responding sooner, its been a crazy weekend! I can take a look, email me: chris at slushman dot com.

I don't know of another plugin that does what mine does, unfortunately, which is why I wrote it. Hopefully, I can figure why its not working on your site.

For any coming to this thread later:

John had created a new profile field group and new fields in that new group, none of which were connected to the widgets. Ultimately, he wanted to rename the tab and fields to make it easier on the end users.

We discovered the profile field group can be renamed after it has been created by the plugin, but not beforehand. You cannot rename the fields (at least not in the 0.5.3 version of the plugin) because the plugin looks for them by name. This is yet another change I'll explore in the next version.

    I'm marking this as resolved.
