I am unable to access http://www.officialmagicpg.com/wp-admin/. I get the following message "This Service Is Unavailable".

I re-installed WordPress 3.5 and allocated the older files into the new installation but the call to the wp-admin is not functioning. Godaddy which is my host has no idea what to do and says it's on the wordpress side.

I have the windows hosting which I know is not the best but haven't received this problem ever.

The URL renders fine which is weird. Please advise.

When I enter the UN and PW, I get re-directed back to the url - http://www.officialmagicpg.com/wp-admin with the message "This service is unavailable".

It seems there is a non-functioning call being made and I have no idea what it could be. I find it extremely weird that the website shows up but I cannot enter my admin panel.

The error message you are seeing is not coming from WordPress but from your hosts server - which suggests that it's a server issue. Try:
    - switching to the default theme by renaming your current theme's folder inside wp-content/themes and adding "-old" to the end of the folder name using FTP or whatever file management application your host provides.

    - resetting the plugins folder by FTP or phpMyAdmin.

    - re-uploading all files & folders - except the wp-content folder - from a fresh download of WordPress. Make sure that you delete the old copies of files & folder before uploading the new ones.

I tried renaming my current theme but i get a "failed" message. Is this common?

I also tried to rename my plugins folder but that "failed" too.

    Is this common?

No - it's not. I assume this message was via FTP, yes? What was the full message?

The error was "Rename Failed". Some folders/plugins have this message and some allow me to rename with ease. The ones that did not allow me to change the name I have been deleting.

    Was this via FTP?

Then you definitely have some sort of server/ownership issue that is probably at the root of your problems. Try contacting your hosts again and asking them about this FTP problem.

I contacted Godaddy and they say it's not on their end.

is there an admin script I can look at to see if I am missing any variables?

No. And WP does not have anything to do with your FTP issues. All I can suggest you do is check your site's error logs. Godaddy should be able to help with this.

I'm sorry esmi but you're wrong. It is a problem within wordpress and I found it.

And what about the other 5.6 million users of WordPress 3.5? Do you see them posting here with the same issue? Or could it be that this is specific to your install?

OfficialMagicPg, if you're unsatisfied with the level of support provided by WordPress.org, consider hiring someone http://jobs.wordpress.net .

I am having the same issue, please could you share the answer? It was working fine for 2 weeks then all of a sudden it has gone down.

@rednoisemedia - please start your own thread - this is not likely an identical situation.

So you are using the same server with the same theme and plugins as the original poster - including an outdated copy of WordPress? No? Then post your own topic.
