    I needed to migrate a huge blog to a different WordPress instance therefore I had to migrate catgory by category. I really went through a dozen solutions to have also the images migrated together with the posts. All of them miserably failed. When I finally stumbled upon this plugin I was a bit surprised but… it worked!
