I currently have a working html website that I love and worked hard on being my first website and all. I have the standard main links on home pages etc..

What I'm trying to do is have a blog on my existing website, i.e http://www.blahblah.com but have another main link saying http://www.blahblah.com/blog

I don't want wordpress to overide any of my existing files - i want my wordpress blog to be part of my subfolder /blog

So how do i go about that using dreamweaver? I apologize, I'm a total newb!

    No to using Dreamweaver.

Install WordPress in a subfolder of your web-root folder. Call that subfolder wordpress or blog.

So do I have to create a sub folder in my sql and direct it to my webroot? I'm confused! Will that overide my existing website?

you can install wordpress in a subdirectory, and no, you do not create a subfolder in mysql, its a new database.

Just put a link to the new wordpress blog on your main site.

I suggest you check on all the install info here, its very good, and will answer most questions.

best of luck and good blogging!!!
