This is frustrating! PLEASE HELP

    So does WordPress have a simple, STEP BY STEP instructions on how to load additional themes into the system? I purchased WordPress through a hosting service like godaddy. From their FTP system (i don’t even know what this means but i see it in their system), I am uploading a new theme but it only uploads as a zip file and not as a folder containing all the files needed. The creators of these themes don’t give clear instructions and assume people can do by themselves. But PLEASE, some of us are beginners and we need step by step instructions.

    Have you tried unzipping it, then uploading it?

    yes, i’ve tried. it doesn’t upload the folder. it keeps opening the folders with every click until it arrives a file to upload. but i want to upload the whole folder.

    If someone is “selling” you WordPress (an open source system), then presumably they should be selling you support along with it.

    You should check with the seller if you are using their FTP program. If it is something on the hosting control panel, it might not work at the folder level, you need an FTP program.

    I checked with the seller and they walked me through the FTP program and how to upload themes. Thank you all for your suggestions and help.
