Thin Line Around My HTML Tables (3 posts)

    Hello All,

First time poster. I've installed WP and am working with a modified Twenty Ten theme. Any time that I put in my own tables, I'm getting a 1 px border around them. I've looked everywhere I can think of in the css and I don't see what's generating the border. I've also searched the forums looking for similar issues to no avail...

If anyone could point me in the right direction, I would be most grateful.

Also, I've been looking into using different sidebars on the index page and inside pages. I have created a new page and have it showing in WP as a template. My confusion starts though, when I want to actually display the new template on the page. How do I do that?

Thanks in advance for any assistance you can provide.

1st question: install firebug (firefox plugin) it would have told you the tables css is around line 500 of style.css #content tr etc.

2nd question: when adding a new page, you should see a dropdown list on the right of custom templates.

That worked for the border! Thank you so much! I also see that there's some odd spacing still going on when I'm trying to valign content to the top in my table cells...

For the dropdown, it does show up in the dropdown, but I'm assuming I need to do something similar to get_sidebar2()... yes?
