   After upgrading, the plugin only worked in the backend, but not in the frontend. It opened in a new window instead of popping up.

   After I disabled the Thickbox Plugin, it works again.

   How can i fix this conflict?

   Is the thickbox plugin loading its own version of jquery? Check your page source.

   You are right, Thickbox loads it's own jQuery version 1.2.3, while the rest of the blog uses jQuery 1.3.2.
