• I will review my post and rating after testing an update that appears to have resolved some of the issues I have mentioned below.

By installing this plugin, you are effectively handing over control of your website to Facebook, because thy will spam your visitors with popups that YOU CANNOT CONTROL ANY LONGER – they changed the plugin to make it SPAM your visitors.

THIS IS A VERY WORRYING DEVELOPMENT THAT ALL WEBSITE OWNERS SHOULD TRY AND UNDERSTAND AS IT IS A MASSIVE POWER SHIFT

    1. You can no longer specify which pages or posts have comments/likes/recommendations bat enabled. It is either ALL or nothing. Every page or None. Every Post or None.

Previously the Edit Page section of WordPress allowed me to specify which ones did and did not have these showing. They removed that feature.

    2. They have remove the options in recommendations bar.

In the recommendations bar options, it states :
“Choose where the Recommendations Bar will appear including your site homepage, archive pages, or individual public post types.”
However, they have removed the homepage options and FORCE it to be there.

    3. The most recent update version 1.1.3 states you can change the Open Graph details for the Homepage and Front page – I cannot see anywhere in the interface where this can be done.

I have no alternative than to look elsewhere. Why don’t Facebook spend some money on getting it right?

I cannot believe that they have not tested this on developed wordpress sites before rolling it out.
