    Sorry to be a pain.
    (had to put website on back burner for a bit)

    I need to make my twentyeleven blog wider, but there is nothing in my style.css to change, all I have is:

    @charset "utf-8";
    /* CSS Document */
    /*
    Theme Name: Twentyeleven Child
    Description: Child theme for the twentyeleven theme
    Author: Spencer White
    Template: twentyeleven
    */

    @import url("../twentyeleven/style.css");

    #site-title a {
    color: #009900;}
    .page .entry-title { display: none; }

    So how do I edit the style.css to make it wider? Or did I not make the child theme correctly?

    Any help gratefully accepter.

    The way Child Themes work is that your child styles OVERRIDE the parent styles -- so long as they are coded correctly. The best and easiest way to work with CSS is to use a tool such as Firebug (or Chrome inspect tool) to look at the current CSS code for the element you want to change -- then the same selector to add code to the child theme stylesheet to override it.

    Good CSS reference: http://www.w3schools.com/css/default.asp

    Be aware that changing the width is not as simple as it might seem as you will likely need to change quite a number of elements so the layouts look and function right.

    If you want specific help, post a link to your site and describe what you want to do.
