    Hi Tobias,
    and thanks for this great plugin.

    I've looked through the faq, documentation etc. but I haven't found an answer to this issue.

    So basically I have created my first table as a test but it doesn't have vertical lines to separate the columns...

    Here's a screenshot:

    I would appreciate some help if possible :)

    Thanks!
    D.

    Hi,

    thanks for your post, and sorry for the trouble.

    That is to be expected :-) The default design for tables in TablePress does not add a vertical border to table cells, as that is considered "bad" for the readability of the data in a table by many experts.

    So, you should really think about whether you really want vertical borders (I usually recommend against them). If you want them, you can add a vertical border by adding this to the "Custom CSS" textarea on the "Plugin Options" screen of TablePress:

    .tablepress th,
    .tablepress td {
      border: 1px solid #dddddd;
    }

    Regards,
    Tobias

    Wow, that's customer support.
    Thank you very much for the fast and helpful reply.

    This is by far the best support I've ever received on a free wordpress plugin.

    The average waiting time to get an answer from a plugin author on this forum is between 7 and 11... months! But you have been great, thanks.

    Just another question, if I can:
    You have released an add-on to make the tables responsive, but you wrote on your blog that it doesn't work in explorer.

    I haven't installed that yet, but I was just wondering if there were any updates about this.

    Thanks
    D.

    Hi,

    no problem, you are very welcome! :-) Good to hear that this helped!

    About the Responsive Tables Extension: Unfortunately, that does not yet work reliably in IE. I'm working on making it usable for the newer versions (like IE 10 and 11) though. Meanwhile, it will not cause harm for visitors with IE, as it will not be loaded for them.

    Best wishes,
    Tobias

    P.S.: In case you haven't, please rate TablePress here in the plugin directory. Thanks!
