Themes won't open (5 posts)

I've spent HOURS searching for the problem and I get a solution that I've already tried or I know isn't the case.

Just recently, for some odd reason today, when I tried to upload a new theme via dashboard it gives me this error "PCLZIP_ERR_BAD_FORMAT (-10) : Unable to find End of Central Dir Record signature". I understand this was an error that was solved a long time ago and I understand the solutions have to do with the http.php file and disk space. I also tried uploading the theme manually via ftp and although it does upload, it shows many design flaws and functionality problems it did not have before. I know it isn't a theme issue because I tried multiple themes that have worked on my previous wordpress subdirectories. I also even deleted a bunch of crap on my ftp and ultimately, after talking with my hostgator representative, he said I did not go over my disk space.

I deleted, reinstalled, and tried everything I could with the wordpress installation, thinking it was probably a minor flaw. Even themes that are currently in use in my other subdirectories wont even be read by my new subdirectory when I try to upload the theme.

Anything that can help will be greatly appreciated!
Again the code I keep receiving is PCLZIP_ERR_BAD_FORMAT (-10) : Unable to find End of Central Dir Record signature, and I have already tried all the solutions.

    it gives me this error

    The archive file is corrupt.

I know it isn't a theme issue because I tried multiple themes that have worked on my previous wordpress subdirectories.

And you've used the current version of this theme on those sites?

Well the themes that worked on other subdirectories don;'t work anymore on new or old subdirectory so I Don't know if its a theme issue.

Someone please help me. I don't want to resort to odesk.com or freelancer.com to hire someone to fix this for me. I know it's a simple issue, I just have no idea why I'm getting it. It's not a space issue!

    Your ZIP file is corrupted.

Download a clean version of the Theme's ZIP file, and try to upload again.
